July 5, 1962 - “That Touch of Mink” continues to break box-office records at the Radio City Music Hall, where the first 2 opening weeks drew the largest gross for that period in the theatre’s 30-year history. Yesterday, the management announced that the initial three weeks had taken in $617,037, marking the most profitable 21-day gross in the theatre’s existence. The 3-week record was previously set in the Easter holiday period in 1960 by “Please Don’t Eat the Daisies,” another Doris Day comedy. The theatre also announced that Cary Grant, co-starring with Miss Day in the current film, has been presented by the management with a silver bowl commemorating the actor’s 25th movie shown at the Music Hall.
