Apr. 22, 1963 - Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas, and Fredric March have been signed for the leading roles in “Seven Days in May,” a film adaptation of the novel by Fletcher Knebel and Charles W. Bailey. John Frankenheimer will direct the film for Paramount and Seven Arts from a script by Rod Serling. Production begins in Hollywood on May 15. The story deals with a military-political cabal’s planned takeover of the United States government in reaction to the president's negotiation of a disarmament treaty with the Soviet Union.
