Nov. 27, 1962 - Stanley Adams (left), who portrays the wrestling promotor in the current film, “Requiem for a Heavyweight,” has been signed by director-producer Ralph Nelson for a featured role in “Lilies of the Field.” The United Artists presentation, starring Sidney Poitier (right), went before the cameras yesterday in Tucson, Ariz. The film tells the story of an itinerant worker who encounters a group of East German nuns who believe he has been sent to them by God to build them a new chapel.
