Jan. 3, 1965 - “Father Goose” is responsible for the largest golden egg in the 32-year history of the Radio City Music Hall.
The comedy-adventure film with Cary Grant set a record for the 6,200-seat theater, the country’s largest, when 163,066 persons paid $243,535 in the holiday week ending Dec. 30. The previous weekly high had been established the preceding Christmas by “Charade,” also a Universal Picture release starring Cary Grant.
