Maury Wills Does It All as Dodgers Top Phillies, 4-2

Aug. 23, 1962 - Maury Wills singled home the tying run, stole a base, and scored the lead run as the league-leading Dodgers rallied for 4 runs in the eighth inning to defeat the Phillies, 4-2, today in Philadelphia. The Dodgers chased Dennis Bennett in the big inning, which included a triple by John Roseboro and a two-run double by Frank Howard. Wills stole second for his 68th theft — a Dodgers record.
