List of Active L.A. Dodgers Who Played in Brooklyn Down to Seven

Nov. 13, 1962 - Only seven players who came West with the Dodgers when they moved from Brooklyn to Los Angeles were on the club’s 40-player spring training roster released today by General Manager E.J. (Buzzie) Bavasi. The men who played for the Dodgers in Brooklyn and still are with the club are Sandy Koufax, Don Drysdale (pictured), Johnny Podres, and Ed Roebuck, pitchers; John Roseboro, a catcher; Jim Gilliam, an infielder; and Duke Snider, an outfielder. Snider had his first major league at-bat with Brooklyn on April 17, 1947. He hit a single.
