Nov. 24, 1961 - John Carradine (pictured) will make his Broadway musical comedy debut in “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.” The musical, directed by George Abbott, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and starring Zero Mostel, opens at the Alvin Theatre on May 8. Mr. Carradine will portray Lycus, a buyer and seller of courtesans. He last appeared on Broadway in 1955 in a revival of “The Time of Your Life.”
