May 22, 1963 - Two-year-old John F. Kennedy Jr. is sporting a new haircut. The First Lady’s press secretary, Pamela Turnure, said today that President Kennedy’s son had his hair trimmed by his nurse, Maud Shaw, and now has a part on the left side. Until now, the youngster’s hair has been left long, in the English style, as it is worn by his 5-year-old cousin, Tony Radziwill of London. Television viewers got a good look at the President’s son yesterday when Mrs. Kennedy carried him down the steps of the White House to meet Maj. Gordon Cooper (pictured). Reporters noticed then that the youngster’s hair seemed shorter.
