Hornung Fit to Play this Sunday in Philadelphia

Nov. 8, 1962 - The Green Bay Packer halfback, Paul Hornung (left), sidelined with a twisted knee since the first quarter of a game against Minnesota Oct. 14, today was pronounced fit for the undefeated Packers’ contest with the Eagles at Philadelphia Sunday. “He’s ready,” said Coach Vince Lombardi (right) of his high scoring ace who runs, passes, blocks, kicks off, and boots field goals and conversions. Lombardi wasn’t sure about the status of the flanker, Boyd Dowler, whose duty was restricted to punting against Chicago last Sunday. The Packers will be seeking their ninth straight victory of the 1962 campaign.
