Nov. 2, 1961 - H.R. Haldeman (right), who managed former Vice President Nixon’s touring in the Presidential campaign last year, will manage Mr. Nixon’s campaign for Governor of California. Mr. Haldeman, 35 years old, joined the J. Walter Thompson advertising agency in 1949, where he worked for 20 years as a prominent executive in both Los Angeles and New York City. In the 1950s, he became acquainted with Mr. Nixon, for whom he developed both an intense respect and steadfast loyalty.
