Dec. 27, 1963 - Ethel Merman and Ernest Borgnine plan to be married in Hollywood next July. Mr. Borgnine said in New York today that his wedding with the musical comedy star would take place after his divorce from actress Katy Jurado becomes final in June. Miss Merman and Mr. Borgnine met for the first time in Hollywood late last month. “It’s been a whirlwind courtship, but we feel we know each other well enough to be married,” Mr. Borgnine said. Miss Merman is in New York preparing for a television appearance next month. Mr. Borgnine, who had the title role in the motion picture “Marty” and is the star of the “McHale’s Navy” television series on ABC, arrived in New York yesterday and will return to the West Coast tomorrow. It will be the fourth marriage for Miss Merman, who is 55 years old, and the third for Mr. Borgnine, who is 46.
