Eddie Fisher Denies Marital Rift with Elizabeth Taylor

Mar. 21, 1962 - Eddie Fisher (center), the singer, arrived in New York from Rome by plane tonight and denied reports that he and his wife, Elizabeth Taylor, were breaking up, calling the idea “ridiculous and silly.” Mr. Fisher said he would be in this country 10 days to negotiate with 20th Century-Fox for production of four motion pictures. He said he would produce the films and that Miss Taylor would star in two of them.
