July 25, 1961 - A three-run homer by Gil Hodges and a two-run triple by John Roseboro powered the Dodgers to a 7-2 victory over the Phillies today. At the same time, Sandy Koufax, a southpaw, posted his 13th triumph in 19 decisions, allowing only 6 hits. Koufax struck out 10, including Tony Gonzalez on four occasions.
