Braves Top Reds, 5-4, as Aaron Brothers Both Homer

Aug. 14, 1962 - Brothers Hank and Tommie Aaron hit home runs today in leading the Milwaukee Braves to a 5-4 victory that ended the Cincinnati Reds’ winning streak at 9 games. Tommie’s homer in the sixth inning broke a 3-3 tie, and Hank hit one for the decisive run in the seventh. The brothers also walked and scored in a three-run rally in the second. Hank extended his hit streak to 14 games. Tony Cloninger, who at one point retired 15 Reds in succession, got the win.
