Dec. 5, 1962 - A 21-year-old woman was strangled with a pillowcase today in the Boston area’s seventh strangling of a woman since mid-June. The victim was Miss Sophie Clark (pictured), whose body was found late today in her apartment at 315 Huntington Avenue, less than a block from where the first victim died 6 months ago. A tie with medicine and hospitals links most of the slayings. Two of the earlier victims were nurses. One was a physiotherapist. Miss Clark was studying at Northeastern University to be a medical technician. The police were searching for a young man reported to have annoyed a woman in the neighboring building two hours before Miss Clark’s body was found.
