Beatles Hit Holland

June 5, 1964 - Three Beatles and one temporary Beatle arrived in The Netherlands today to a noisy welcome of teenagers, some dressed in traditional Dutch costumes and others carrying flowers and banners.

As the plane bringing the Beatles in landed, there were shouts of “Yeah, yeah,” “Beatles,” and “I Want to Hold Your Hand.”

Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and temporary drummer Jimmy Nicoll — replacement for ailing Ringo Starr — will give three performances in The Netherlands, including a television recording session, before leaving Sunday.
