Beatles Attend Bob Dylan Performance

May 9, 1965 - After a day spent filming scenes for their second film — this one in color — in London and Twickenham, the Beatles saw an evening performance tonight by Bob Dylan at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

After the show, they visited Dylan at his suite at the Savoy Hotel. The group were accompanies by singer Alma Cogan. Also present, as Dylan’s guest, was poet Allen Ginsberg.

In his performance, Dylan, accompanying himself on guitar and playing the harmonica, performed some of his established numbers — “The Times They Are A-Changin’” and “God on Our Side” — as well as some newer ones, including “Love Minus Zero/No Limit” and “It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue.”

Dylan will give a repeat performance tomorrow night at the same venue.
