Sept. 27, 1964 - Jim Wynn’s two-out single in the 12th inning scored Rusty Staub today to give the Houston Colts and Bob Bruce a 1-0 victory over the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers.
Bruce, who has pitched 22 shutout innings against the Dodgers, scattered five hits as he posted his 15th triumph against nine losses.
It was the Houston ballclub’s final game at Colt Stadium before relocating to their new stadium next season.
